SUMMARY:NYSEC Young Adult Literature Book Study: May
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a great discussion about some of our favorite, new YAL books and how they may be useful to our instruction and work with young adult readers. We will be meeting virtually on the following evenings to discuss these books:\nDate: Monday, May 18, 2026\nTime: 7-8pm\nRegistration: Click here to register\nBook: THE TEACHER OF NOMAD LAND by Daniel Nayeri\nEach night we meet, we will discuss the book and what we’ve read, as well as how we see ourselves using it with young people or possibly as part of our instruction. You will need to secure your own copy of the books (support your public library!), and we hope you are able to read the book before joining us (but if you get behind, don’t let that stop you, please do come anyway!).\nYour registration in this book club gets you entry to both sessions, but please indicate below which sessions you want to attend (so we can send you the right links). We look forward to seeing you! If you have any questions, please email Sarah at sfleming@nysecteach.org.\n\n
