The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) has awarded the New York State English Council (NYSEC), with NCTE awards.
2025 Affiliate Excellence Award
To establish high standards of performance for affiliate programming and to honor those affiliates which meet these standards. Qualifications for the award represent standards of excellence to which all affiliates should aspire.
2025 Multicultural Program Award
To encourage and honor those affiliates who adopt programs, policies, activities, and other events which will promote diverse membership and multicultural resources, literature, topics, and speakers, as well as advance multicultural programming.
2025 Newsletter of Excellence Award
To honor outstanding affiliate newsletters and their editors and to encourage excellence in these publications. Newsletters selected represent models for affiliate newsletters to emulate.
2025 Website of Excellence Award
Outstanding websites will be selected and recognized as Websites of Excellence at the Affiliate Breakfast at each year’s NCTE Annual Convention. Websites selected represent models for affiliate websites to emulate.
